A Nation in Exile's mission is to nurture environments as incubators for relationships through performing and visual arts events. We do this by partnering with social justice organizations that build and tend to our communities. We activate passive audiences into active community members by inviting them to listen, see, and get involved.
Phileo— the greek word for the love represented in intimate, authentic friendship. A Nation In Exile envisions a world powered by phileo. A world in which people have the space and time to be themselves as they grow in the midst of and part of a collective. A world where we take care of ourselves, eachother, the land, and the animals.
